Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) party’s Hosur division in Krishnagiri district (west) wing will conduct interview for the aspirants who sought party ticket to contest in the upcoming Hosur Corporation election.
In a note, Hosur MLA Y Prakash, who is also the DMK party’s Krishnagiri district (west) secretary, said the interview for the corporation election aspirants will be held on December 22 at DMK party district office in Hosur.
The interview for the candidates those who applied for 1-23 wards will be held from 10 am to 1 pm. In the second batch from 2 pm to 5.30 pm, the interview will be conducted for the aspirants those who sought tickets for 24-45 wards.
It may be noted that several DMK party people have given applications to contest in all 45 wards in Hosur Corporation election.
History of Hosur Corporation
Way back in 1962, Hosur was constituted as a Selection Grade Town Panchayat and in the year 1992, it was upgraded to Second Grade Municipality and to Selection Grade Municipality in the year 1998. It was made as a Corporation two years ago considering the population, the growth in annual income and the level of civic services to be provided towards fulfilment of the basic needs of the growing population of Hosur and to improve the standard of living of the people.
