Sabarimala temple opens for online booking for September 2021 darshan

The devotees are allowed to access the temple only by foot from Pamba

Sabarimala templeThe online booking for pilgrims planning to visit the famous Sabarimala Ayyappa temple during its five-day season beginning on September 16th evening began yesterday.

The Travancore Devasom Board (TDB) monitors the daily operations of the temple. The visit of devotees strictly complies with the Covid norms laid by the government.

The pilgrims visiting the Sabarimala temple this month should either have an RT-PCR certificate or should have administered with two doses of vaccine. The daily number of pilgrims will be restricted to 15,000 because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Sabarimala Lord Ayyappa temple is located on the mountain ranges of the Western Ghats at an elevation of 914 metres above sea level.

The temple is accessible only by foot from Pamba. The Lord Ayyappa temple is  opened only five days a month. Its annual pilgrimage season begins in the third week of November and runs through the second week of January.
