Malaika Arora takes a bow with Dhanurasana

Actress and Yoga expert says this is excellent for maintaining a good posture as it stretches the front as well as your back muscles, but there are a few conditions too

It’s a time of the week for Bollywood actress and Yoga expert Malaika Arora as  she has come out with yet another motivational yoga asana this Monday.

Posting about Dhanurasana in her Instagram, Bollywood fitness freak Malaika Arora said it feels so good to rebounce every Monday with that one asana, the practice of Yoga that keeps us all connected.

On Dhanurasana, she said that this pose is excellent for maintaining a good posture as it stretches the front as well as your back muscles. She however said avoid this pose if you have severe back or neck injury.

Simple steps

On how to do it, she said, “Lie down on your stomach with legs and hips apart. Hands beside the thighs.” She then asked her followers to inhale and bend both your knees from the back.

Exhale, grab your ankles with both your hands, says Malaika, adding: Inhale, lift your ankles up to the ceiling and lift your shoulder and chest up, look up.

Advising her followers to maintain the balance on lower belly, Malaika Arora then asks them to hold for 10 to 15 seconds and release the posture.
