Rain lashes Hosur, ransacks Krishangiri

RainsThe wide spread intermittent rains in the past one week has covered Hosur industrial town with wet. Meanwhile the heavy downpour in the wee hours of Wednesday ransacked Krishnagiri and its surrounding places.

Even today morning in early hours at around 7 am, Hosur witnessed moderate rains. Notably the rains that lashed overnight from Tuesday night to Wednesday morning disturbed the district headquarters much.  All most all the places in the district like Bargur, Denkanikottai,  Uthangarai, Thalli, Soolagiri, Royakottai and Pochampalli witnessed heavy rains.

As on Wedensday morning data, while Krishnagiri witnessed 125.2 mm of rain fall, Hosur recorded 10.5 mm. Other places like Uthangarai witnessed 42.4 mm followed by Pochampalli 16.6 mm, Bargur 22.2 mm and Denkanikottai  20.4 mm.

The areas surrounding Krishnagiri Government Boys High School, District Education Office, Rajaji Nagar, Pazhayapet and  Nallathambi Chetty Street were worst affected areas in Krishnagiri.

Particularly the railway underpass near Hosur railway station is filled with foot dip water, posing inconvenience to the motorists.

Meanwhile on the other hand, the heavy rains increased ground water level in Hosur, Krishnagiri and surrounding region.
