Marriage between neem tree and peepal tree has been performed at Nedumaruthi village in Marasamudram panchayat in Krishnagiri district on Saturday.
The village people installed Ganesha idol and Nagadevathas in the newly built temple while performing marriage between two trees.
The marriage for trees performed in order to prevent the people from Covid and for general welfare of human community, the village people said.
Earlier, the prohithars performed Ganga pooja homam, Ko pooja and Abhishekas in the temple premises.
