Hosur DMK gears up with cheers to welcome Chief Minister M.K.Stalin for ‘Makkalai Thedi Maruthavam’ scheme launch

Chief Minister will be launching a major medicare scheme 'Makkalai Thedi Maruthuvam' programme in Krishnagiri district on August 5.

Hosur;- Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) functionaries in Krishnagiri district are gearing up with cheers to welcome Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Mr M.K.Stalin on August 5. The Chief Minister is visiting the district to launch the scheme christened ‘Makkalai Thedi Maruthuvam’, a new doorstep medicare scheme for the people of Tamil Nadu. 

Even before the launch, the talks about ‘Makkalai Thedi Maruthuvam’ scheme received positive response from the general public as it ensures quality medical assistance to the people of Tamil Nadu at their doorstep. The experts are widely appreciating the state government for introducing such a people friendly programme. Meanwhile, Krishnagiri district DMK functionaries are in happy and proud moment as the Chief Minister has chosen their district to launch this scheme.

In a Krishnagiri west district functionaries meeting convened in Hosur on August 1, Hosur MLA Mr Y.Prakash said the Chief Minister is visiting Krishnagiri district to inaugurate the scheme christened Makkalai Thedi Maruthuvam, a new doorstep medicare scheme.

It may be noted that the Tamil Nadu government is introducing this scheme to ensure availability of quality medicare to all citizens in the state. The Chief Minister will also inaugurate a Covid vaccination drive programme to cover one lakh people in Hosur under vaccination, he said.

Y.PrakashHosur MLA Mr. Y. Prakash, who is also DMK  Krishnagiri district (west) Secretary, said, “We are very glad that the Chief Minister has chosen Krishnagiri out of 38 districts in the state to inaugurate the scheme.”

He also thanked the Hosur-based private enterprises who collectively offered around Rs 7.04 crore fund for Covid vaccination programme under their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programmes.

He appealed to the party functionaries and people to maintain social distance while giving rousing welcome to the Chief Minister during his tour in Krishnagiri district.

Hosur Ex MLA Mr. S.A.Sathya and other DMK functionaries including Mr. Yuvaraj, Mr. Sukumaran, Mr. Murugan, Mr. Sreenivasan, Mr. Vijayakumar, Mr. Chenneerappa, Mr .Thimmaraj among others participated in the meeting.

It may be noted that the announcement of the new scheme –  Makkalai Thedi Maruthuvam– has already received good response among the health experts in the state. Now with the scheme officially to get into stream, the people of Tamil Nadu will have good health benefits for sure.
