Krishnagiri Loksabha MP Dr A Chellakumar highlighted rain related infrastructure woes in Hosur railwayline underpass during his personal inspection recently.
As the entire Krishnagiri district, Hosur in particular has been witnessing continuous rains, almost alternative days for the past three weeks, the MP took a tour to check the ground realty.
Water Stagnation
One of the worst affected stretches is the railway line underpass on Hosur-Denkanikotta road. The underpass fills with knee dip water whenever heavy rain lashes and becomes unfit for motoring. The water stagnates even after a day of rains.
The motorists have been suffering due to this infrastructure issue since its construction a few years ago.
Mr Chellakumar inspected the stagnating rainwater in railway underpass. Immediately after the MP’s inspection, the concerned department has pumped out the water.
The public explained to the MP on how they are affected due to this Hosur railwaylilne underpass during rains. They also said the underpass is a narrow one and two big four wheelers crossing in opposite direction cannot pass the stretch at a time.
The MP has assured to the public that he will take the matter to the notice of the concerned department and solve the issue soon.
