Hosur Small and Tiny Industries Association (HOSTIA) has appealed to Tamil Nadu Finance Minister Palanivel Thiaga Rajan to address various issues related to GST.
A team comprising Hostia President Velmurugan, Vice President Murthy, Secretary Sridharan, Treasurer Vadivelu and Executive Committee member Madhyan met the Finance Minister on Wednesday.
GST Council Meeting
The team requested the Finance Minister to put pressure in the GST council meeting on various GST related issues pertaining to small scale industrial sector.
The HOTIA team appealed that the action should be taken to reduce tax on auto parts from 28 percent to 18 percent. Also, the 18 percent penalty for delayed GST payment should be reduced. In addition, there should not be any threat of cancelling the license while making delayed GST payments.
They also requested the Minister to take action to bring Metro rail service to Hosur from Bangalore sub urban and rail service from Hosur to Jolarpet through Krishnagiri. Further the HOSTIA office bearers have also sought action to set up a commercial airport in Hosur industrial town.
