TN Health Minister inaugurates Oxygen Generator Plants in Hosur GH

Oxygen Generator PlantsOxygen Generator PlantsTamil Nadu Health Minister Ma. Subramaniam has inaugurated two Oxygen Generator Plants at Government Hospital in Hosur industrial town.

The Oxygen Generator Plants were set up by commercial vehicle maker Ashok Leyland, which has two mega factories in Hosur Sipcot phase I and Phase 2.  The company had set up these facility under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme.Oxygen Generator Plants

Hosur MLA Mr. Y Prakash and Mr. Balachander NV, Chief Sustainability Officer and President – Communications, CSR & Corporate Affairs, Ashok Leyland among others were present, a press release from Ashok Leyland said.

Huge Capacity

Together the Oxygen Generator Plants have a combined capacity to generate 500 litres per minute and have a storage capacity of 4000 litres with a bottling facility.

Set up at a cost of Rs 1.18 crores, this initiative strives to ensure immediate access of oxygen supply to Hospitals and Public Health Centers in and around Hosur.

The people in Hosur industrial town are rejoiced as the government is sending the Health Minister frequently to Hosur to track the health related welfare measures.

It may be noted that the state Health Minister has visited Krishnagiri district for the third time in the past one month in implementing government schemes.

Recently on August 5, the Health Minister visited the district accompanying the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Mr M K Stalin, who launched the doorstep healthcare scheme (Makkalai Thedi Maruthuvam).

The scheme by the Tamil Nadu government was pitched as the pioneer one in the segment in the country. The scheme was launched by the Chief Minister first in Krishnagiri district and later expanded across the state.

It may be noted that back in July fourth week, the Minister Mr Subramanian visited several hill region in the district. He climbed a long stretch of 15 km in the hill track Beddamugilalam to address the public grievances.

Now within a month, the Minister is back with Ashok Leyland’s CSR promoted Oxygen plant in Hosur government hospital.
